Terms & Conditions — Sending Bulk SMS via ILDO Routes

All businesses using Fivo SMS ILDO routes must adhere to the following terms and conditions. These are mandatory requirements set by telecom operators, the DoT, and destination-country regulatory authorities.

General Sender ID Conditions

• All Sender IDs used on ILDO routes may be overwritten with a system-assigned short code or numeric identifier depending on the destination country's operator routing policies. Sender ID preservation is subject to destination-country regulatory approval.
• OTT (Over-The-Top) application traffic, web-based platform invitations, and social media promotional content must be routed exclusively through designated ILDO binds pre-approved for such traffic categories.

General Content Restrictions

• Sending more than six messages per hour with identical or substantially similar content from the same Sender ID to the same recipient number is restricted under operator and regulatory guidelines applicable to ILDO routes.
• ILDO transactional routes cannot be used for stock market or securities trading-related SMS — including share price alerts, trading tips, investment scheme promotions, or SEBI-regulated financial communications — unless the sending entity holds valid SEBI registration and has obtained specific operator approval for such content.
• Unsolicited commercial communication, spam, phishing content, or any message violating the laws of the destination country is strictly prohibited on all ILDO routes. Non-compliant traffic will be terminated immediately.

Certification & Documentation Requirements for ILDO SMS

The following documentation requirements apply to specific ILDO traffic categories — particularly for SEBI-regulated financial communications and Sender ID registration. All documentation must be submitted before the relevant SMS traffic is activated on the ILDO route.

Certification Requirements (for SEBI-Regulated & Financial Content)

1. The certification letter must be issued on the official company letterhead of the entity authorising the SMS traffic.
2. Where applicable, the entity must provide proof of valid registration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or the relevant regulatory authority for the content category being transmitted.
3. The certification must clearly specify the Sender IDs (CLIs) intended for use, along with a description of the nature, category, and purpose of the messages to be sent.
4. The validity period of the purchase order, regulatory authorisation, or operating licence must be clearly stated in the certification document.

Additional Messaging & Route Restrictions

• Opt-in consent collection messages — messages requesting a recipient's consent to receive future communications — are not permitted via ILDO routes unless the specific traffic has been pre-approved by the operator in writing.
• Web-based opt-in records alone are not considered valid proof of consent for ILDO route compliance purposes without additional regulatory validation documentation.
• Promotional or invitation messages related to social media platforms, OTT applications, or third-party websites must be pre-approved and whitelisted by the operator before transmission through any ILDO transactional account. Non-compliance may result in route suspension and regulatory penalties.
• Prior content registration and template approval may be required for certain ILDO traffic categories as per operator and DoT guidelines.
• Sender ID policies are subject to both Indian DoT licensing conditions and destination-country telecom authority regulations. Fivo SMS cannot guarantee Sender ID preservation for all ILDO destinations.
• Whitelisting of 6-character alphanumeric Sender IDs is required for ILDO transactional route messaging and is subject to operator and telecom authority approval.

Documents Required for Sender ID Registration on ILDO Routes

• Pre-approved DLT or operator-approved message templates (where applicable for domestic-to-international traffic).
• A detailed service description — clearly explaining the nature of the business, the purpose of the SMS campaign, and the target recipient base.
• The official business website URL of the sending entity, to be submitted for operator verification purposes.
• Company registration documents and authorised signatory details as required by the operator onboarding process.
